Surgery Management
Integrates Surgical Scheduling with all other hospital scheduling, ensuring satisfaction for the patient and the referral source.
Collects post-surgical data for user-friendly management reporting.

The IAMSystem version designed for the IBM iSeries platform also includes integrated Surgery Management, which may be sold and used separately from enterprise scheduling.

Pre-op scheduling and follow-up scheduling may optionally be done at the time of surgery scheduling. Conflicts for the patient, providers and equipment are checked across every service in the network. This encourages patient satisfaction in accessing the full scope of care your network offers, and encourages the patient to stay within your health network from pre-operative services through to follow-up and rehabilitation. Block time scheduling and over 35 management reports enhance the surgery staff's satisfaction and leads to less cumbersome surgery management tasks. Rule-based scheduling with attached text, rules for pre-requisites, instructions and Q& A also enhances patient safety. The user-defined Surgery Management system is easy to maintain, requiring no IS support staff to manage the system on a day-to-day basis.

Pick Lists/Preference Cards: Easy to set up and change as needed, pick lists and preferences cards are maintained per procedure and per surgeon. Surgery Management integrates charges for all associated time and materials, allowing charging by exception and sending charges automatically to your billing side.

Integration with Billing: By sending charges for the surgeon's time and the materials used automatically to your HIS Billing side, lost charges are eliminated and an audit system for ensuring all charges are captured and submitted is now in place.

Integration with Materials Management: Pick lists are arranged to match your inventory location for ease in surgical preparation. Materials Management can be notified of special requests in a timely fashion. Optional integration with your hospital's materials management system enhances efficiency and ensures that only the target volume of materials is maintained and readily available.

Reports: Over 35 management reports, including the Surgical Log, are created by post-op data collected within IAMSystem, eliminating the need for time consuming and cumbersome manual reporting tasks, and allowing more productive use of time by valuable surgery staff. Whether accessing data and reports about volumes of procedures, complication codes, block utilization reports or the complete surgical log, IAMSystem stores the data and compiles detailed and summary reports needed for efficient surgery management.
